The history of the SACHS brand begins in 1895, when Ernst Sachs, the author of many inventions, and successful businessman Carl Fichtel founded their company producing bicycle bearings (подшипники) in Schweinfurt, Germany. After producing bicycle parts for years, Fichtel & Sachs (as the company was called in those years) gradually specialized in the production of automobile parts as well.
During the Second World War, the company was involved in the production of military products (for example, almost all German tanks were equipped with this brand of coupling system), which also caused great losses to the company, making them a target for bombings. However, years later, Fichtel & Sachs was able to restore its previous positions in the field of auto parts production and occupy new positions in the world market.
Since 2001, the company became part of the ZF Friedrichshafen corporation, being renamed ZF Sachs. Currently, the company produces a variety of products, from coupling systems, shock absorbers to parts necessary for hybrid cars, all of which are distinguished by high quality, reliability, long service life and the selection of high-quality raw materials for the manufacture of parts.
Drive Motors is the official distributor of the Sachs brand in Armenia.
