Denso Logo:

Denso was founded in 1949 in Kariya, Japan, by separating from its parent company, Toyota Motor, which currently owns about a quarter of the company's shares.

The name of the company is derived from the shortened versions of the Japanese words "electricity" and "equipment", and the last word Nihon is the name of Japan in that language.

Shortly after its establishment, Denso entered the global market by starting a serious partnership with Robert Bosch, which enabled it to take advantage of the latter's technical and expert skills in the automotive industry.

In 2016, Denso was the fourth largest manufacturer of auto parts in the world. As of that year, the company had 189 branches on four continents with more than 150,000 employees.

The company offers a wide range of auto parts for gasoline, diesel and hybrid vehicles, from spark plugs, cooling systems (climate control), to airbags, other safety systems, on-board computer programs and more.

The leading technologies actively implemented by the company allow to improve the working characteristics of the car and reduce the negative impact on the environment.

Drive Motors is the official distributor of Denso in Armenia.
